The First Flood Research Strategy for the UK (June 2010)

Many of the largest programmes of flooding research are coming close to finishing so Living With Environmental Change (LWEC)  partners see an urgent need to take forward a multi-institutional flood research strategy which will look at short, medium and long term needs for useable information, and cost-effective response options. CRUE ERA-NET

First issue of CRUE snapshot now available

The CRUE snapshot publication is now available to download from CRUE ERA-Net website.  The report provides a quick, but comprehensive update on European based flood risk-related policies and recently completed research, highlighting some of the research results in the area of Flood Risk Management, both from EU-funded and national research.

This information is recorded in CRUISE, the CRUE Information System Europe; and is supplemented in the publication by updates on policy outcomes and other relevant issues.

CRUE ERA-NET second common call

The Scottish Government are considering applications from research organisations to participate in the ERA-NET CRUE second common call "Flood resilient communities - managing the consequences of flooding". The closing date for applications passed on 15 October 2008.

The CRUE ERA-NET action on flooding aims to develop strategic integration of research at the national funding and policy development levels within Europe to provide knowledge and understanding for the sustainable management of flood risks.
