Welcome to RISE

SNIFFER, on behalf of the Scottish Government, is responsible for providing a research and knowledge management service in respect of flood risk management (FRM) for Scottish stakeholders. Click here for further information.

RISE is one of the main tools for delivering this service - it provides a one-stop shop for information on FRM research, particularly targeted at Scottish stakeholders but is of relevance to others working in FRM research across the UK and Europe.

RISE provides:

• information on the legislative framework for flood risk management within Scotland.
• Details of statutory roles and responsibilities for flood risk management within Scotland.
• A knowledge inventory (a searchable on-line database) of flood risk management research from across the UK and Europe of relevance to Scotland.
• A 'What's new page' which provides details of relevant research, news and events of interest to the flood risk management community within Scotland.
• Links to other websites of relevance and interest.
